Brief Description

The programme tackles life skills, conflict and peer pressure, positive living and other pertinent topics from practical perspective. Talks and weekend camps are often organised to include stakeholders from other community and government organisations such as SAPS, GRIP, Youth for Christ and Petra Youth Ministry.

We currently run clubs in the following schools:

  • Glory Hill primary school (Graskop)
  • Harmony Hill primary school (Sabie)
  • Hillsview primary school (White River)
  • Idonza primary school (White River)
  • Lwaleng primary school (White River)
  • Mabulela primary school (Graskop)
  • Mcgregor farm school (White River)
  • Pumlani farm school (White River)

Objectives

  • To understand and explore the needs of children in our communities in order to focus our services more effectively
  • To raise awareness about our services and empower children to access those services when they are in need
  • To build good relationships with the schools and teachers in our communities
  • To involve and network with other stakeholders and organisations in our communities

Successes:

  • Over 400 children are reached through this programme every week
  • We have achieved positive response from schools and communities
  • Schools have reported children having improved in their behaviour and discipline
